Broadway and Times Square are the places every tourist visits, it’s full of lights, and people, and cars, and stuff. Julius was very kind to let me up the rooftop garden to take a panorama. I feel a bit cropping-challenged on this one, so the mini slide show has three different cropings. Please let me know which one you like via comments.
I shot this with me new “over-the-edge” setup, but I hope Julius will let me up there again, because I should have pushed the camera further out over the edge. It’s just a bit scary, 30 floors up, but I will try again, with less curving things in the foreground. So as a bonus, here is the full 650 megapixel zoomify panorama. Make it as fullscreen as you can.

My favorite of the 3 images is number 2. Very cool – try not to fall off the building if you are going to be hanging over the ledge! =)

I think I like the 3rd one. I like the light from the buildings directly below. Get out over the ledge. Just make sure you’ve got a safety cable just in case. Keep shooting.

I like the first crop.
Looks like a tough image to crop. Many choices… glad I did not have to decide.
I love all the detail you captured down at the ground level – a lot of fun exploring this image!

Mr. Geerds is a genius! I saw individual Hershey’s Kisses™ come to life in the Zoomify version.
Another spectacular production by the Panoramic Master! (Stay on the roof brother!)

Wow Joergen! Number 3 ist my favorite. I like the square panoramas most. Looking at them for a while pours me directly into the scene, it’s almost like flying although they appear just 1024 to 1600 her on my screen…
Thank you so much for the one I took with me to Germany! I’ll send you a photo of the 2,80m wide crispy sharp pano hanging in my livingroom!
However I’m looking forward to see more of those square panos!
CU soon in NYC (hopefully in December)…
